Ayurveda describes seven dhatus — tissues built one from the next: plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, marrow/nerve, and reproductive essence. Each is nourished by the one before, so steady digestion supports the whole chain.
Srotas are the channels — gross and subtle — through which nutrients, fluids, breath, and even thoughts move. The traditional ideal is simply flow: channels that are open and unclogged.
At an everyday level this translates into familiar advice — move your body, breathe well, stay hydrated, and don't let things (physical or emotional) stagnate.
